Colorist Jason Backe considers hair color an artistic expression of personal beauty. He takes pride in his incredible attention to detail and commitment to impeccable customer care, skills he’s mastered as a highly accomplished hair dresser in the industry. With over a decade of experience, Jason earned international recognition working as a Global Purefessional for Aveda where he traveled the world educating stylists, salon owners and managers in both technique and business building. Jason then perfected his craft as the Education Director for Aveda’s illustrious NYC salon where he guided and motivated his staff artistically and professionally. Jason’s technique centers on natural looking, low-maintenance hair color. “Whether I am simply enhancing what my client has, or completely changing the color, I pay close attention to the smallest details, fooling people into believing it’s their natural color.” That being said, Jason is not opposed to producing bold or aggressive hair color with a “punk, glam, or editorial edge” if this is what his client desires.
